AFRY Process Industries Finland is now looking for a


Senior Process Engineer / Process Engineer


to enforce our Pulp Process Engineering team in Vantaa.

The role of the Senior Process Engineer / Process Engineer includes participation in the pulp mill projects during the whole project life cycle. You will have a vital role in feasibility studies, pre-engineering and implementation phases of projects as well as operation improvement assignments in operating mills. One example of our latest projects is the Kemi Bioproduct Mill.


The role and responsibilities will be defined in more detail based on your background, but typically include:

  • Process engineering in international projects (both, brownfield and greenfield projects)
  • Communication with other disciplines and process areas
  • Collecting and analyzing data
  • Feeding information to the engineering database
  • Equipment and pipe dimensioning
  • Drawing P&IDs and interconnecting pipes
  • Generating mass, energy and/or water balances
  • Participating in tender negotiations and preparing technical tender comparisons
  • Preparing techno-economical evaluations
  • Document management in the projects
  • Engineering tool development


You will be joining a team of fifteen process engineers. Most of our team members are working from Vantaa office, but a couple of us work from other AFRY Finland offices.

Qualifications

In order to succeed in this role, you have:


  • Technical Degree in relevant field such as pulp, paper, bioproducts, biorefineries, process engineering, chemical engineering or energy

  • Previous work experience from the Pulp & Paper industry

  • Fluent English (verbal and written), Finnish is considered as an advantage

  • Efficient IT skills (especially Microsoft 365)

  • Ability and readiness to take responsibility and work independently with given instructions

  • Ability and readiness to work in multinational projects

  • Ability to manage your work within tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills
